Amex Optima/oasis Program
After I pay the $2000 left on the Gold card, I will have $0 credit card debt. I'm 23 (graduated college in '13) so the only thing that pulls on my credit karma report are* my student loans (all current) and the cancelled Amex Gold (score is 622). I currently don't have a credit card, and I'm strongly leaning towards getting the Optima. For context, I make 75k a year and probably will just use Optima for recurring smaller expenses. I think it'll be a great way to rebuild credit (I can also backdate to Gold card start date, which will be extremely useful for me given it was my only card)!

Amex Oasis Program
In the Oasis Program you must settle in full your debt to american express. They will issue a new card with the same credit limit as the one you had before.
Oasis Computer Program

The old account which you paid off will be listed as paid as agreed. It will show the long history but that account will be closed. THE NEW CARD WILL NOT HAVE THE OLD OPEN DATE.
